Anthony Mackie Locks, Loads, and Revs His Engine in First 'Twisted Metal' Trailer
Anthony Mackie is taking the wheel in the first trailer for Sony's upcoming Twisted Metal movie. The trailer, released on Wednesday, gives us our first look at Mackie as the movie's lead character, Calamity, a former military man who is recruited by a mysterious figure to compete in a deadly car-combat tournament.
The trailer is packed with high-octane action, from Mackie's Calamity driving a tricked-out muscle car to take on his opponents to the explosive fights that ensue when the cars crash into each other. It also features plenty of explosions, car chases, and some intense stunts.
The movie is based on the popular video game franchise of the same name, which was first released in 1995 and has since spawned several sequels. The movie will be directed by Will Becher, who previously directed Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, and is produced by Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions.
